Almine Barton has been in private practice for over 2 decades, caring for the PNW’s elite athletes. Her specialty is in Acupuncture Orthopedics, with a focus on Sports Medicine and Post-operative recovery. Additionally, she is skilled and experienced in labor prep and labor induction specific acupuncture treatments.

She’s traveled to over 22 countries studying traditional medical systems with a B.A. in Medical Anthropology and a 4-year Clinical Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

She recently moved here to the Treasure Valley of Idaho from Bend, Oregon where she treated top professional athletes from rock climbers to Nordic teams for the Seoul Olympics. Today she owns and operates Idaho Sports Acupuncture in Eagle, Idaho and is gracious enough to spend one day of her week treating women here at Women’s Arc Physio.

Almine teaches yoga at “YogaSIX”, is a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and is a recent World Champion. She loves to lap swim, do Barre3, rock climb, and mountain bike with her Huskies. Dr. Levesque has been a Physical Therapist treating orthopedic conditions for 10 years. She is among the 1% of practicing PTs with Fellowship training in orthopedic manual therapy.

Her personal experience as a competitive figure skater has drawn her to focus on the aesthetic athlete population and hypermobility spectrum disorders. As someone who has overcome hip dysplasia and hip preservation surgery at only 26 she is particularly passionate about injury prevention and patient education.

Dr. Valerie has two young children and has discovered a new sense of purpose to provide care and education to the pre-postpartum population. Keeping a healthy body during pregnancy and preparing for labor improves birth experiences and outcomes. Having a professional to guide you through the postpartum and return to fitness journey can help you avoid unnecessary pain and frustration.

She attended Oregon State University and received a BS in Exercise and Sport Science and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the New York Medical College. Her Post-Doctorate training with the Ola Grimsby Institute awarded her the distinction of Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic and Manual Physical Therapists.
